Surprising to some, biology can also be a scientific ability that is useful in area related fields, as a result of fascinating new worlds will need new theories about how life may, can, or did once exist. The mixture of astronomy, biology, geology, and other sciences has led to the event of a new subject of science called astrobiology. Fraser and I, if I’m having a really, really busy day, Fraser is, like, “OKAY, let’s do something already in your head.” On those days the place life is simply overwhelming, there’s at all times some a part of astronomy that we haven’t talked about that is hopefully already saved locally.
Pamela: Proper. All of those nasty hydrocarbons are causing all kinds of nasty chemicals to literally rain from the sky, and those affect the floor. You even have cratering, and we don’t actually know if there’s ongoing volcanism on Venus. That is one of those constant questions that we just don’t have a solution for, but hopefully as we get higher at constructing spacecraft that may stand up to the high heat and the not-significantly-friendly chemical attributes of Venus, we’ll be capable of start placing a community of detectors all the way down to sort out: is the floor still energetic right this moment?

Fraser: I actually liked the mini-series, too. So, I do know he came up with just a few solutions. He made these nice large clocks trying to come up with a method to create an incredible large grandfather clock that could still withstand the rolling gait of the sea; but ultimately, his remaining technique was a pocket watch. It’s small and steady.
